The club are delighted to confirm that following a mid-season restructure of roles, we have appointed James Arnold as First Team Coach of Leicester Blue Sox.
James will be responsible for planning/running our weekly practices on Wednesdays and managing our team on game days.
James will be supported by Blue Sox General Manager Matt Crawshaw, who will be taking on a Team Operations role.
Matt commented “We had some key departures at the end of last season coupled with some injuries to senior personnel during the first half of the season, and have seen James emerge as a natural leader within the club. Without hesitation the Front Office wanted to formalise this role with James at the earliest opportunity to provide clarity and certainty to our members moving forward."
The new roles and structure will take effect from 20th July, owing to James and Matt being away on holiday in the first half of this month.
We are grateful to the Long Eaton and Birmingham baseball clubs for agreeing to reschedule our upcoming games with them until after the new structure has been put into place.
